Multi-File Upload

Upload multiple files simultaneously with individual progress tracking, error handling, and retry capabilities. Provides a detailed file queue showing the status of each file.

Usage Notes

When to use: When users need to upload multiple documents at once, such as submitting supporting evidence for a benefits application or attaching files to a case.
Accessibility considerations: Each file's upload status (pending, uploading, complete, error) is announced via ARIA live region. The file queue uses a list role with descriptive labels. Retry and remove buttons include accessible labels referencing the file name. Progress is conveyed both visually and through announcements.
NYSDS components used: nys-fileinput, nys-button, nys-icon, nys-alert
Customization points: Maximum number of files (currently 10), maximum file size (currently 10 MB), accepted file types, upload endpoint, simulated failure rate (currently 1 in 5), and progress update intervals.
